Soft meets Hard
Structure and Properties under Confinement

This workshop is organized by the Collaborative Research Center SFB 418 "Structure and Dynamics of Nanoscopic Inhomogeneities in Complex Matter." It will take place on the premises of the LEUCOREA foundation in Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Sachen-Anhalt, Germany, where the Halle University has been founded in 1502.

The aim of the workshop is to encourage the interaction between experimental and theoretical groups focused on materials-oriented research on soft matter, solids, and the processes at their interface, with relevant length scales in the nanometer range.

Different oral sessions will be devoted to the following topics:
  • Polymers and organic molecules at interfaces
  • Template structures
  • Theory and Simulation
  • Self-Assembly and Pattern Formation
  • External and Internal Fields
