Research Area
My research group employs high resolution NMR spectroscopy and various structural biology and biophysical methods to investigate the structure, dynamics, and function of proteins from all kingdoms of live as well as functionally relevant interactions with other proteins, nucleic acids, low molecular substrates, and lipids/membranes. We develop and apply biophysical tools to study the self-assembly process of proteins (protein folding) and to investigate intrinsically disordered proteins in terms of polymer physical principles as well as biological function and dysfunction.
