B9: Spin pumping and spin transfer at magnetic oxide interfaces
The phenomena of spin-pumping and spin-transfer-torque have mainly been investigated in metallic systems. Here we want to investigate the effects in ferromagnetic oxides with high spin polarization, which yield the promise of larger effects and higher efficiency. Furthermore the large crystalline anisotropy of some magnetic oxides may allow for additional options compared to metallic systems. We will start with an investigation of spin-pumping using ferromagnetic resonance on oxide films and then extend the investigations to spin-transfer experiments on oxide-metal nanostructures.
